My new wheels

I'm currently driving this hot thang around while my car's in the shop. Please don't judge. Driving this beauty + a $500 deductible is punishment enough for hitting a cement pole at 2AM. I would like to mention that it does have a decent turning radius.

Coveting Carissa's Wall

I have spring fever and am wanting to re-do a BLAH picture wall in my house, and my bookshelf too. I'm currently accepting your free bids and offers to help be my design eye. I got some cute frames for cheaps at Hobby Lobby and want to incorporate this fabric into it as well (that is of course if my interior designer approves). So let the offers start pouring in, I'm desperate for some descent design help.

(If any of you know Carissa you'll know what I'm talking about.)

yesterday

It's quiet in my house right now, Brooks is downstairs thinking about making up all the lost sleep from last night. I have a bouquet of fresh yellow flowers on the table. My blinds are open, my window is clean and it's snowing outside. I had so much energy and motivation to get random stuff done yesterday, it was great. I'll attribute it to Brooks sleeping all night long for the first night in forever and the sun actually shining. Chris called me early after he left to work to let me know he got accepted to George Washington's law program, great news. I cleaned the blinds (haven't done that in 2.5 years of living here), washed the windows inside - and some out, - made yummy dan dan noodles and had a neighbor over to enjoy them with me. I listened to Brooks and the neighbor boy scream at each other with delight and then disgust over and over again while playing. Brooks and I walked to the grocery store to soak up the sun. I put on a roast and finally put salt in my rolls for the first time (out of three) with this new recipe. I bought myself a rad recipe book holder with a splash guard and wandered around William Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware keeping my wallet safely tucked away. I cleaned up after dinner and stayed up late taking care of bills and chatting with my husband about where we want to end up and how expensive rent is in DC. Yesterday was a great day.

I didn't get much sleep last night so we'll see how today goes. Here's to hoping I at least get a shower.
